Pink Saturday

I am a teacher, which means that I have lots of free time over the summer.

I try to pick a project to work on every summer to keep me busy. This year I chose to sew an apron with my mom. She is an amazing sewer and loves to help me when I have projects.

I saw an apron while shopping one day, but it was $40?!! So I decided why not make my own!

Happy Pink Saturday every one!!!

Pink Saturday

This week I thought I would do a little reminiscing. Last year, I was a foster mom to my nephew Dustin. He stayed with me throughout the school year. He spent the weekdays with me and went to the school I taught at, and then spent the weekends at my parent’s house. He was only in the 6th grade, which meant he was too young to play on the school sports team, but they were short players and let the younger boys try out. So he did. I have never seen a kid run so much in my life! He loved it. It just so happens that I love watching soccer so it was a win win for us both.

I took this picture before his first game. I didn’t notice when I took it the amazing sunset in the back and the beautiful pinks and purples. I took this picture with my phone.

I am not sure if this picture is my favorite because of the background or the amazing boy in the front. I miss him.

Here kitty kitty

I am not really a cat person. But while house sitting for my sister and her 2 dogs, 5 cats and 1 ferret, I discovered that I might be a kitten person!

His name is Optimus Prime, while sitting on the couch; he would climb on me so that he was on my chest (boobs) and purr.

If I was typing on the computer and not petting him, he would climb on the key board until I stopped. So cute!

Do not taking photos while driving!

Not on purpose, but last week on my mission to capture on film all things that were interesting I came across these.

I wonder, as I slowed, rolled down my window, and began taking pictures, what the drivers thought. Anyways, what is the chances? I like that watch car shows a side of the owner, in different but extremely unique ways.
